“FORLORN HOPE”

“Forlorn Hope” concept is about using a curtain to convey the idea by looking through the curtain or looking out the opened curtain, look like a stage. When we did not want to know things happened around us, we closed the curtain. Or the story that we wanted to keep in mind, we covered. Or about misty memories we looked through a piece of cloth. It was created on canvas un-stretched on a frame which represent a piece of cloth.

This picture was created after the GreatFlood. As I did keep watching the news, hearthe story of the sufferer. I imagined in asituation where a girl was stuck in a houseand dreamed her teddy bear became a herowho took her out.

งานชิ้นนี้ถ่ายทอดแนวคิดผ่านการใช้รูปแบบของม่าน “การมองผ่านม่าน” ไม่ว่าจะมองออกไป มองเข้ามา หรือมองม่านที่เปิดเหมือนเป็นเวที พูดถึงสิ่งภายนอกที่เราไม่อยากรับรู้ เราอยากปิดม่านใส่หรือเรื่องราวภายในใจที่เราอยากปกปิด หรือพูดถึงประเด็นความทรงจำที่พร่าเลือนเหมือนการมองผ่านผืนผ้าออกไป ซึ่งถูกสร้างขึ้นบน canvas ที่ไม่ได้ขึงบนเฟรมเพื่อต้องการแสดงความเป็นผ้า

งานชิ้นนี้ถูกสร้างขึ้นหลังจากเหตุการณ์น้ำท่วมใหญ่ที่เรานั่งเฝ้าดูข่าวของผู้คนรวมถึงรับรู้เรื่องราวของบุคคลใกล้ชิดที่ประสบเหตุการณ์นั้น เราจินตนาการไปถึงเด็กหญิงคนหนึ่งที่ติดอยู่ในบ้านและคิดฝันว่าตุ๊กตาหมีของเธอจะกลายร่างกลายเป็น hero ผู้ที่พาเธอออกจากบ้านที่เธอติดอยู่ข้างใน
