Visiting shopping malls has been considered a scale to measure how trendy someone is since 1964 when Thai people discovered the escalator as a new innovation at Thai Daimaru, a Japanese chain store, or using a glass lift at New World department store which later collapsed as a result of being built without consent or correct architectural structure.

First time with Mega Bangna
Looking back to 2011, there was construction progressing on extremely large sized pieces of land on Bangna-Trad Rd., on the way heading towards Chonburi, near Kanchanapisek outer ring road. This area was only a passing through street, not a destination shopping mall area. World class brands such as IKEA also opened there at the end of last year, and this has changed the face of furniture shopping trends completely.

For those who fancy the smell of paint, brushes, pencils or other drawing stationery, the old shops like “Campo Marzio
Design” in Rome, Italy has a wide range of classic
Italian design stationary to choose from. Additionally, outstanding handmade leather covered note books are also suitable as a gift or collectible whilst the original dip pen is something not to be missed.

When talking about a trip to Hong Kong, “shopping” will be on traveler’s mind especially the brand name stuff for sale. This trip, however, will lead you to a chic lovers’ paradise in Soho comprised of Staunton Street, Elgin Street, Peel Street, Aberdeen Street and Graham Street where you will discover rows of boutique shops, art gallery, decor shop, stationary shop, restaurants, clubs and bars.

Street Stalls are definitely something Thai people are familiar with, and they are what many locals in each province create income from and use to transfer their wisdom or share local innovation to anyone passing by to purchase. However, many people raise questions about why all the shops look identical.

EGD is not related to conservation or power saving; in fact, it is media design in the forms of graphics, symbolic design or even art installations such as pylon signage, building signs, banners, directories, direction signs, shop fronts and branding signs which advise readers about directions or map information. Moreover, the focal point of EGD design is to do with architecture, interiors, and landscape.

The increasing number of shopping malls these days creates a highly competitive environment serving all type of customers by placing as many categories of shops as possible. Due to area limitations, Community Malls place emphasis on rental space allocation by considering shop categories and the size of each retail area.
