None of Thai Premier League fan don’t know Chonburi FC. DIN has a great opportunity to talk with Marketing & PR Director, Khun Jeerasak Chomthong and Business Development Director, Khun Patit Suphaphongs.
When was the Chonburi FC established? And how was it begun?
Chonburi FC was establised in 2006 by AFC with the policy to improve and develop Football standard in Asia to be the same as in Europe. AFC regulated the Football club of their member countries to be standardized. That was how Chonburi FC begun.
What is the club management system? We are a registered company, Chonburi FC Company Limited. We have board of management to divide into 2 sections as followings.
1. Technical Management Section is staff coach, footballers and game analyst specialist from Japan, etc. 2. Administrative Section takes care of Club’s brand identity, merchandising, ticketing, financial etc.
How many players are in the club both the main and support team? How many of them are the foreigner? We signed contracts with 80-90 players. For 17-18 years of age which were the average age of young players that signed contract with us. The Club also hired foreign players as allowance number of Thai Premier League quota which allowed 7 foreign players per season. But this year, there was a change in the quota from 7 to 3+1 in order to support Southeast Asia or Asian Players. Those 3 players are from outside Asia such as South Africa and South America.
Could you tell us about Chonburi FC football academy please? We have been doing football academy for 20 years since other clubs have no interest in football academy project. We would like to give credit to the 4 visionaries, Khun Sonthaya Khunpluem, Khun Vidaya Khunpluem, Khun Annop Singtothong and Khun Thanasak Suraprasert. They have the idea back in the day before have thinking about starting football club that football is best to start at young age. Initially they just wanted to give the opportunity to talented childrens from upcountry such as those from 3 Southern border provinces, from the North-eastern part or the Northern part to train together.
Eventually we have our own academy and constantly train young player for our club. The maximum age is between 12-16 years old which is best peroid that give them the opportunity to play in professional level for many years to come.
How many the total seat capacity for Chonburi FC stadium are there? The Chonburi FC stadium can support the host of the audiences about 8,600 seats with the fix price ticket of 100, 150, and 200 Thai Baht throughout every tournament. It’s a visibility level base price structure.
Do you think how much impact on stadium design and standard has on sport players and audiences?
I think it has a great impact on our club image even before people actually first walk into our stadium. It’s in media coverage that give us our very good publicity. A boardcast media such as True Vision likes our stadium very much since we installed the camera box at the best angle for them to boardcast. They are very happy with its convenience that the OB car can park and plug into, the cameras are ready to boardcast with world class views to the viewer to enjoy. This may bring the viewers the idea to experience the match from the actual stadium.
Do you think what is the key successful of Chonburi FC? 1. We have a lot of players from our academy. This is not just to minimize our cost but also create a good relationship among our players. This is our value asset. 2. Our fan club and die-hard fans, they are fun cheerers. Our blue shark mascot also creates a fun and cheerful moment for every match. It makes people to recognize and get to know Chonburi FC.

คอแฟนไทยพรีเมียร์ลีกคงไม่มีใครไม่รู้จักทีมแนวหน้าอย่าง ชลบุรี FC เป็นแน่ วันนี้ทีมงาน DIN มีโอกาสได้ไปเยือนสโมสรชลบุรี FC พร้อมกับได้พูดคุยกับผู้บริหารของทีม คือ คุณจีระศักด์ิ โจมทอง ผอ.ฝ่ายการตลาดและประชาสัมพันธ์ และ คุณพาทิศ ศุภะพงษ์ ผอ.ฝ่ายพัฒนาธุรกิจ ซึ่งได้นำเรื่องราวต่างๆ มาฝากกันด้วย
สโมสรชลบุรี FC ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อใด และมีจุดเริ่มต้นอย่างไร สโมสรชลบุรี FC ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ.2549 โดยสมาพันธ์ฟุตบอลเอเซีย (AFC) มีนโยบายที่จะปรับปรุงและพัฒนากีฬาฟุตบอลในทวีปเอเซียให้ทัดเทียมกับทางยุโรป ทาง AFC จึงออกกฎข้อบังคับกับสมาคมฟุตบอลของแต่ละประเทศเพื่อให้สนามฟุตบอลได้มาตรฐานมากขึ้น ซึ่งนั่นก็เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นให้เกิดสโมสรชลบุรี FC ขึ้นมา
ปัจจุบันทีมบริหารงานแบบใด เรามีการจดทะเบียนจัดตั้งเป็นบริษัทชลบุรี FC มีคณะกรรมการบริหาร เราจะแยกเป็น 2 ฝ่าย คือ 1. ฝ่ายเทคนิค คือ โค้ช, ผู้เล่น ที่เกี่ยวกับการแข่งขัน มีการอิมพอร์ตผู้วิเคราะห์เกมมาจากญี่ปุ่น เป็นต้น 2. ฝ่ายบริหาร คือ จะเป็นในส่วนที่เกี่ยวกับภาพลักษณ์, ผลิตภัณฑ์สินค้าของที่ระลึก, การออกตั๋ว, การขายตั๋ว, การเงิน เป็นต้น
ปัจจุบันมีนักเตะทั้งชุดใหญ่และชุดสำรองกี่คนมีต่างชาติกี่คน สำหรับทีมชลบุรี FC ที่เซ็นสัญญามีประมาณ 80-90 คน สำหรับเด็กโดยเฉลี่ยที่จะเซ็นสัญญาในสังกัดอายุประมาณ 17-18 ปี และทางสโมสรชลบุรี FC มีการจ้างนักเตะต่างชาติตามโควต้าของบริษัทไทยพรีเมียร์ลีก ซึ่งเขากำหนดว่าฤดูกาลหนึ่งจะมีประมาณ 7 คน แต่ปีนี้เปลี่ยนมาเป็น 3+1 คือให้สามคนเป็นนักเตะนอกเอเซีย อาทิ นิโกร, อเมริกาใต้ เป็นต้น เพื่อเป็นการส่งเสริมให้ใช้นักเตะในภูมิภาคเอเซียหรืออาเซียนก็ได้
อยากให้เล่าถึงโครงการอะคาเดมี่ฟุตบอลที่ทางสโมสรชลบุรี FC ได้ก่อตั้งขึ้น
ทางชลบุรี FC ดำเนินโครงการอะคาเดมี่นี้มาได้ 20 ปีแล้ว ตั้งแต่สโมสรอื่นๆ ยังไม่ได้สนใจ ซึ่งการคิดทำโครงการ อะคาเดมี่นี้ต้องชื่นชมในวิสัยทัศน์ของทั้ง 4 ท่าน คือ คุณสนธยา คุณปลื้ม,คุณวิทยา คุณปลื้ม, คุณอรรณพ สิงโตทอง และ คุณธนศักดิ์ สุระประเสริฐ โดยทั้ง 4 ท่านนี้มองการณ์ไกลเห็นว่าฟุตบอลมันต้องสร้างจากเยาวชน ซึ่งตอนนั้นท่านทั้ง 4 ยังไม่ได้คิดจะทำเป็นลักษณะสโมสร คิดแต่เพียงว่าอยากจะเปิดโอกาสให้เด็กๆ ที่อยู่ตามต่างจังหวัดที่มีฝีมือไม่ว่าจะเป็นเด็กที่มาจาก 3 จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ เด็กที่มาจากอีสาน เด็กที่มาจากภาคเหนือ ได้มาอยู่รวมกัน ฝึกซ้อมด้วยกัน
และท้ายที่สุดเราก็มาสร้างเป็นอะคาเดมี่ของเราเอง เนื่องจากสโมสรชลบุรี FC ทำมาอย่างต่อเนื่องและยังคงสามารถผลิตเด็กรุ่นสู่รุ่นต่อไปได้ โดยช่วงอายุสูงสุดในโครงการอะคาเดมี่นี้ก็คือ 12-16 ปี ซึ่งเป็นช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่สุดที่เด็กจะเข้าไปโลดแล่นในการแข่งขันชุดใหญ่ต่อไปได้ในอีกหลายปี

สนามของสโมสรชลบุรี FC นี้ จุคนดูได้ประมาณ 8,600 ที่นั่ง ราคาบัตรในการเข้าชมจะเท่ากันหมดทุกทัวร์นาเมนต์คือ 100, 150 และ 200 บาท ซึ่งราคาแบ่งตามวิสัยทัศน์ที่เห็นชัดเจน
คิดว่าการออกแบบสนามให้สวยงาม ให้ได้มาตรฐาน สามารถดึงดูดให้นักกีฬาหรือคนทั่วไป หันมาสนใจในกีฬาฟุตบอลได้มากน้อยแค่ไหน อย่างไร
มีส่วนมากครับ ก่อนที่คนจะเดินเข้าสู่สนามครั้งแรกคุณต้องเห็นภาพรวมก่อน สื่อ เป็นกลุ่มบุคคลสำคัญมากที่จะนำภาพดีๆ ของเราออกไป อย่างทรูวิชั่นส์เขาจะชอบที่นี่มาก เพราะเราสร้างแบบกล่องในการวางกล้องไว้ให้เป็นมุมที่ดีที่สุดให้กับเขา เขาก็จะดำเนินงานง่าย มีที่จอดรถโอบีให้ใกล้ๆ สามารถเสียบปลั๊กเอาสายขึ้นได้เลย กล้องพร้อมสามารถถ่ายทอดสดได้ทุกมุม ได้ภาพที่งดงามในระดับอินเตอร์ เขาก็แฮปปี้ คนที่เห็นจากทางสื่อก็อาจจะอยากมาชมด้วยตนเองที่สนามจริง ซึ่งเป็นการเชิญชวนให้มาสนามได้อีกทางหนึ่ง
คิดว่าทุกวันนี้ทีมชลบุรี FC ประสบความสำเร็จได้เพราะอะไร 1. เพราะระบบอะคาเดมี่ที่เราทำมาก่อนใคร ทุกวันนี้ทีมชลบุรีแทบจะซื้อตัวนักเตะน้อยมากเพราะเราได้นักเตะจากโครงการอะคาเดมี่มา ทำให้ลดค่าใช้จ่ายในส่วนนี้ลงไป และยังได้รับความผูกพันกับนักเตะในทีมด้วยซึ่งนั่นเป็นสิ่งที่มีค่ามาก 2. แฟนคลับ มีทั้งแฟนคลับฮาร์ดคอร์ แฟนคลับที่เชียร์สนุก ทั้งมาสคอตเท่ๆ ที่เป็นรูปฉลามสีน้ำเงิน สื่อถึงราชาแห่งท้องทะเล โดยเฉพาะในส่วนของแฟนคลับมีส่วนสำคัญเป็นอย่างมาก ทำให้การแข่งขันในแต่ละแมทช์มีสีสัน มีความสนุกสนาน และช่วยทำให้คนทั่วไปได้รู้จักชลบุรี FC มากขึ้นด้วย
