BODH GAYA, MAHABODHI TEMPLE
When this pilgrimage is a guidance cues follow the teachings of Lord Buddha. This trip happens by my endowed with the wishes that ‘before dying, I wish I go to Buddhist pilgrimage places where the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, nirvana and sermon.
Bodh Gaya Our 8 hours journey by car in India, from Calcutta to Bihar and Bodh Gaya, was difficult and backcountry but it could not diminish our faith. Bodh Gaya is one of the most important Buddhist place in the world because it is a place of the enlightenment of the Buddha. This area includes the Bodhi Tree where is remain the enlightenment of the Buddha or named as Maha Bodhi Temple.
Here, we perceived through the surrounding, learning and close to nature. To see the Bodhi Tree, which is the same species since the Buddha descended upon, the Buddha was sit and enlightened then brought a great religion to us. This was a pleasure and delighted, moreover if we had the opportunity to meditate under the Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya. There was a joy in the abundance of those pilgrims. Particularly, if we could kept a Bodhi-leaf which felt in front of us and brought it to hallow when back home. It was as we achieved the pilgrimage in this way. Getting to Bodh Gaya considered a devout Buddhist as we can be seen from amount of people in a day, especially the Tibetans who have faith and strictly practice.
In this pilgrimage, we also have the opportunity to visit others Holy places of Buddhism as we intended; the birth place at Lumpiniwan which is located in Nepal, The sermon place at the Isiptana Maruekhathayawan forest which currently located at Sarnath, and the last place the nirvana place at Kushinagar. Where we have stood on the land that the Lord Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, nirvana and sermon that made us fulfill with faith, euphoria, joy, happiness, and the key was to create peace of our mind as magical.
Travel Tips: • The Indian people are very mentally. They recognized of their origins with the advent caste-bound of birth. So, they are humble. Do not blame others and see a value of life. • Indian people respect and honor the pilgrims. So in pilgrimages should dress in white with to reflect the practice. • India are popular horn while driving. You should to prepare the mind and the ear to hear car’s horns all the time. • During pilgrimages, despite generating compassion and pity. Do not blindly donate to people. Because you may suffer from a lot of begging.
พุทธคยา เมกกะแห่งพุทธศาสนา
เมื่อการจาริกแสวงบุญครั้งนี้เป็นแนวทางชี้นำในการปฏิบัติตามหลักธรรมคำสอนขององค์สัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า กอปรด้วยการตั้งจิตอธิษฐานว่า ‘ก่อนตายขอให้ได้ เดินทางแสวงบุญยังพุทธภูมิ สถานที่ที่พระพุทธเจ้าได้ประสูติ ตรัสรู้ ปรินิพพานและแสดงธรรมเทศนาด้วยเทอด’ การเดินทางยังประเทศอินเดียจึงได้เกิดขึ้นมา
พุทธคยา การเดินทางกว่า 8 ชั่วโมง ในประเทศอินเดียโดยรถยนต์ จากกัลกัตต้าสู่รัฐพิหารยังพุทธคยาแห่งนี้ แม้ลำบากและกันดารแค่ไหนก็ไม่สามารถทำให้แรงศรัทธาลดน้อยลงได้เลย เพราะที่นี่เป็นพุทธสถานที่มีความสำคัญที่สุด 1 ใน 4 แห่งของชาวพุทธ เนื่องจากเป็นที่ตั้งของสถานที่ตรัสรู้ของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า ที่ยังมีลานต้นโพธิ์ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ตรัสรู้ของพระพุทธเจ้าคงอยู่ ที่นี่จึงมีชื่อเรียกอีกชื่อว่าวัดมหาโพธิ
การที่ได้มาสัมผัสกับบรรยากาศ เรียนรู้ และใกล้ชิดกับธรรมชาติ ได้เห็นยังพระโพธิ์ต้นนี้ที่สืบสายพันธุ์มาตั้งแต่สมัยพระพุทธกาล ต้นที่พระพุทธเจ้าได้นั่งตรัสรู้ เห็นแจ้ง และนำมาซึ่งศาสนาอันยิ่งใหญ่ที่เรานับถืออยู่นั้นจึงบังเกิดเป็นความอิ่มเอิบและตื้นตัน ยิ่งได้มีโอกาสนั่งสมาธิที่พุทธคยา ณ ลานใต้ต้นโพธิ์แห่งนี้ ย่อมเป็นความปิติยินดีอย่างยิ่งของผู้ที่มาจาริกแสวงบุญ โดยเฉพาะการได้เก็บใบโพธิ์ที่ร่วงหล่นเบื้องหน้ากลับมาบูชาที่บ้านด้วยแล้ว ถือว่าได้บรรลุการมาแสวงบุญในครั้งนี้เป็นอย่างยิ่ง การเดินทางมายังพุทธคยาแห่งนี้ถือเป็นศรัทธาของชาวพุทธ ดังจะเห็นได้จากคนจำนวนมากที่เดินทางมาในแต่ละวัน โดยเฉพาะชาวทิเบตที่มีศรัทธาอย่างแรงกล้าและแนวทางปฏิบัติธรรมที่เคร่งครัดอย่างยิ่ง
นอกจากนี้การเดินทางมาจาริกแสวงบุญครั้งนี้ ยังมีโอกาสได้เยี่ยมชมสังเวชนียสถานอีก 3 แห่งจนครบ ซึ่งถือเป็นศรัทธาของชาวพุทธตามที่ได้ตั้งใจเอาไว้อีกด้วย ทั้งสถานที่ประสูติ ณ ลุมพินีวัน ซึ่งปัจจุบันตั้งอยู่ที่อำเภอไภรวา แคว้นอูธ ประเทศเนปาล สถานที่แสดงธรรมเทศนา ณ ป่าอิสิปตนมฤคทายวัน ซึ่งปัจจุบันตั้งอยู่ที่เมืองสารนาถ และสถานที่สุดท้ายที่เสด็จปรินิพพานณ เมืองกุสินารา ซึ่งการได้มายืนอยู่บนดินแดนที่องค์สัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าท่านได้ประสูติ ตรัสรู้ ปรินิพพาน และแสดงธรรมเทศนานั้น ล้วนสร้างความศรัทธา ความอิ่มเอิบใจ เกิดเป็นความปิติสุข และที่สำคัญคือสร้างความสงบในจิตใจของเราให้เกิดขึ้นได้อย่างน่าอัศจรรย์ทีเดียว
Travel Tips: • คนอินเดียมีจิตใจที่สูงส่งมาก อันเกิดขึ้นจากการยอมรับในชาติกำเนิดของตน ด้วยชนชั้นวรรณะที่ผูกกับการถือกำเนิด ซึ่งทำให้คนส่วนใหญ่มีความสมถะ ไม่โทษผู้อื่น มองเห็นคุณค่าในชีวิตสูง • คนอินเดียเคารพและให้เกียรติแก่ผู้ที่มาจาริกแสวงบุญเสมอ ดังนั้นในการเดินทางแสวงบุญควรสวมชุดขาว เพื่อสื่อถึงการปฏิบัติธรรม • เนื่องจากประเทศอินเดียจะนิยมการบีบแตรในขณะขับรถเป็นอย่างมาก เรื่องนี้ท่านอาจต้องเตรียมทั้งใจและเตรียมทั้งหู ที่จะได้ยินเสียงแตรรถตลอดเวลา • และระหว่างการเดินทางแสวงบุญ แม้จะบังเกิดความเมตตาและสงสารมากเพียงไหน อย่าได้ให้ทานแก่ผู้คนสุ่มสี่สุ่มห้า เพราะท่านอาจเดือดร้อนจากการบอกต่อๆ กันไป จนอาจโดนรุมล้อมจากขอทานจำนวนมากได้
